📏How to Measure Your Feet at Home Accurately

What You Need

  • A piece of paper (Letter or A4)
  • Pen or pencil
  • Ruler (30cm / 12 inch)
  • Tape (optional)

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Fix the Paper: Place the paper on the floor with one edge flush against a wall. Tape it down to stop it from moving.
  2. Position Yourself: Stand on the paper with your heel firm against the wall. Stand normally with your weight distributed.
  3. Mark: Mark the tip of your longest toe with the pen. Keep the pen vertical to ensure accuracy.
  4. Measure: Measure the distance from the wall edge to the mark you made. This is your Actual Foot Length.

Pro Tips

  • Measure in the Afternoon: Feet swell throughout the day. Your feet can be up to half a size larger in the evening than in the morning. Measure when your feet are largest.
  • Wear Socks: Wear the type of socks you intend to wear with the shoes. Thickness matters.
  • Check Both Feet: It's common to have one foot larger than the other. Always fit your shoes to the larger foot.

Finding Your Size

Once you have your measurement, add Toe Room. Generally, adding 10mm ~ 15mm (0.4 ~ 0.6 inches) to your foot length gives you the ideal shoe size. For example, if your foot is 263mm, a 275mm (US 9.5) shoe would be the healthy choice.
